EPRA runs year-round
programming to engage neighborhood youth in positive
activities that encourage environmental stewardship, physical activity and
nutrition.
- "Healthy Choices" Summer
Camp- A summer camp for kids ages 6-12 at Mander
Recreation Center that engages neighborhood children in fun activities that
support the healthy behaviors and lifestyles that will help
them to stay healthy throughout their
lives.
"Youth Environmental
Stewardship" Summer Program- In
partnership with Fairmount Park, Department of Recreation
and Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the YES program aims
to teach teens about environmental stewardship and the
connection between health and the environment while gaining
job experience.
- "East Park
Environmental Education" Initiative- A
partnership with Fairmount Park and the Audubon Society to
provide hands-on workshops and field trips to
students and teachers at Blaine K-8 and
Gideon K-8 Schools.
- "Healthy Choices" After-School
Program- A program operated at the Blaine K-8
School that includes chess, frisbee golf and dance
classes.
- School Learning Gardens at
Blaine K-8 School and Strawberry Mansion High
School
